1.) I am on DSL w/ a hardware firewall/'IP translation' box.
2.) I also have a software firewall running, most of the time.
3.) BitTorrent enables not only downloads, but to make things more
equitable it starts uploading to the next few guys who come along so the
original source is now sharing bandwidth duties among the other
downloaders. Except in my case it never began uploading anything.
4.) During the download I turned off the s/w firewall.
5.) I think it was the IP translation on my end that masked my system
from becoming a upload site. (Pure, uncollaborated speculation on my part.)
btw- Thx for the file in the 1st place, if it matters much I can
research more about the whys and wherefores but my need for bittorrent
was just satisfied and won't really be using it to get movies, etc.
