Horrible running 8v
I didn't see anyone ask, but did you check you spark timing? If you're
getting bad fuel mileage as well, I would suspect it to be a contributing
factor.
Also, if you haven't, I'd recommend the standard air filter/spark
plugs/dizzy cap+rotor/and wires if needed tune up. The spark plugs may have
become fouled if you were running too lean/rich for any significant amount
of time.
I found that an overall increase in grounding helped a lot with idle issues.
I have a 1 gauge ground to the tranny and a 4 gauge stereo power wire
grounding the battery to the body. There were also bunch of ground wires
attached to my fifth injector, we replaced the terminals and changed out a
throttle body bolt with a longer one so I could put a nut on the end to hook
the ground wires up to it.(This fixed a scary high idle issue last winter).
