Won't Idle Part 2
I can attest to this book being very good. I don't remember anything in it
that will really help you diagnose a problem or anything - it's certainly no
repair manual, but as far as understanding how fuel management systems work,
it's great. I wish I weren't at school or I'd just lend you my copy. I'll
give ya directions to my house if you want, my parents would be happy to dig
it out of my room ;)

It's funny that you say that because I was planning on going to the book
store tonight to look for that book. I think I have numerous problems and
I
need some sort of guide besides the Bentley.

At this point, I would recommend getting a book. Bosch Fuel Injection and
Engine Managaement, by Robert Probst. It explains how the FI works in such
a way a kindergartner could understand (no implications intended). After I
go this, I fixed the FI on my Bus that 3 air cooled specialists in Cali.
could not figure out... It is about 25-30.00, and worth every penny.
Available at rb.com, and many other places...
Sorry I could not help you directly...
Cheers.

OK so my idle problem turned into the car not wanting to run at all. Would
start then die. Didn't seem to respond to the throttle at all. Keep in mind
I
bought this car not running so I'm starting from scratch. I unplugged the
control pressure regulator and it would run all day if I held it above
1000rpm.
Changed the o ring on the throttle screw and now it will idle by itself. Woo
Hoo!
I guess I need a new CPR? What can I expect to pay used? By the way the A2
pedal bushing that was recommended here works like a charm and is $5
cheaper.
Thanks!
