wrong porwer steering fluid

I don't know about Scirocco P/S (mine is manual) but I know in my Jetta I'd never put anything but the stuff from the dealer in, others have tried other fluids and ruined their rack.

I would assume they've probably been using the same fluid for years in VW's..
