Flooding! Help please!

don't remember the specific brand or anything, but it was just silicone 
sealant (one of the indications on label was "leaky windshields") from the 
hardware store. i went around the outside of the windshileld, lifting up on 
the outer outside part.  put the tip into the gap between seal/metal and 
squeezed till it squirted out.  i only did top and sides, paying special 
attention to the corners. i got tired and figure the leak was unlikely to be 
coming from the bottom, so i got lazy and didn't do it. but no more leak.
