Run a wire, (nice medium to thick) from the rad switch to the Battery + 
terminal. Inline fuse is a wonderful thing, close up near the battery post.

Think 'car audio shop lead for Amp' supply.

Since the fan can (and should be able to) run whether the motor is 
running or not you might be able to just rewire the whole 12v to switch 
to fan to ground set up.

Dialectic grease and some way to keep the O2 & moisture out is a good thing.
