I am aware that all have some taper, what I am saying is if the skirt has a
high amount of vertical scuffing. You will need to check the skirts.

Note, Brian, that pistons are supposed to have some taper.  Also some
out-of-round.
Not much, mind you...maybe not even measureable with the instruments most of
us have in our garages, but there nonetheless.
