Anyone try Seafoam?
It sound like in the days when we parked the car behind the supermarket on a
quiet Sunday, popped the air filter off the carburetor, stuck a screw driver
into the carb, and let the car idle at 2500 rpm and slow pour 1 quart of
dextron III oil into it as it revved.. Nice Black/blue smoke for some 20-30
mins as we poured it in.... Then... Clean as a whistle.
The question I have for you... How do you spray it into your engine on a FI
system while its running ? The only port I see would be remove air filter
and spray it from the bottom hole of the air box... Seem unpractical as most
of that "mist" will be stick to insides of every components along the way
and only getting a minimum of product where you actually want it to be.
If your trying to clean your block/head, put some dextron II/II transmission
oil in your crank oil and run it for 3K, (about 1/2-1Qtr)
Cleans lifters noises, and blue smoke syndrome (if rings in good
shape).(1.99$)
As for cleaning your piston chambers, get a large can of carburetor cleaner,
pop the tube off your air intake, clean the Throttle body, open the flap
manual and juice up your intake manifold, I usually use about 1/2 can, pop
tube back in place, crank that puppy...(2.99$)
The only thing the seafoam seems to clean is the top of the pistons and
valves seats since its pushed into your air intake. The other question is,
how much does this product cost ?

->It's a solvent type spray and/or liquid that you allow to get
->sucked up into the motor (until it stalls!) and let sit in
->the hot cylinders.
->
->After you let it sit awhile, you fire it back up and there is
->supposed to be a tremendous amount of sooty smoke that comes
->pouring out of the tail pipe- and after awhile things are
->supposed to be right as rain.
