Legal options on gas tank recall
This jogs my memory...
Years ago before I converted to the VW faithful that I am now, I drove an 81
Cutlass... (Yeah, I know, OG) I scraped up the bottom of the gas tank
pulling into our steep drive, and it had a slight dribble... I had heard tell
that there was a sealant I could use on the outside of the tank. I got some,
used it, never had a problem later... I drove the car for another year...
IIRC, it was something like a cylinder-shaped thing of tarry-stuff...
Apparently it reacts with gas? Jeff (Toomasson), any wisdom on that stuff?
