Front strut nut question

Hi everyone, I've just been hanging back reading everything you guys (and
girls) have been saying, but haven't had much to say or ask myself. But I
do have something now. I just got new springs and shocks/struts for my '87
16v, and I've got a question about the nut that holds the insert inside the
housing. The koni yellows I just got came w/ a new nut thats completely
round w/ two holes on top of it. The instructions show some kind of tool
being used to tighten it. My question is, do I need this tool to change my
struts or is there another way? I can't see it being very easy without it.
If I need this tool, where can I pick one up? I can also use any pointers
you guys have on making the change over easier. Thanks for all the help in
advance.
