Labor Costs...
And now we all know why we do as much work as we can on our own cars!
Not to mention it also gets done right!

Yes! I was driving from VA to Long Island for a wedding way back in 1991 in
my 1981 Rabbit 8v. The timing belt broke at the Varisano Bridge toll booth.
I went to the wedding, called the shop it was towed to the next day so I
went over to pick the car up. Posted labor rate $120 an hour! It cost me
$450 for the job! Then, I look at the bill and they had 2.5 hours of labor
which I bring to the owner attention. The answer I got - Oh, yea, that job
was a flat rate, if it would have taken more time, it would have cost you
the same! The most complete rip off every to happen to me.
