Sunroof seal replacement

I'm wanting to replace my sunroof seal in the rocco before winter hits. 
>From looking at things I'm pretty sure that I'll have to remove the
sunroof in order to do this.  I also know that there is a walk-through
on this on Patrics site somewhere as well.  My concern is once a I put
the roof panel back in place, how much of a chance if any is there that
it won't be aligned properly.

As it sits now, the panel is in perfect alignment and is without
scratches and thats exactly how I want to keep it.  So, in just removing
the panel and putting it back, should it stay aligned or is there room
for error on this?  Also, whats a good lube for the cables in there?  I
want to clean all that out and lube it all up real good so that I can
enjoy it by March.
