1.8T pistons in a 16v motor

Derrick, if you're still even reading this, don't feel bad, I do the exact same thing. I think I've changed my mind 10+ times on what I will do for an engine swap for my mk1 and I have yet to actually commit to anything. (Sorry Anson, I'll buy the knock sensor stuff from you someday and Brian, I apologize but I still plan on getting the battery relocation kit, someday) Sometimes, what I want to do and what I think would be sweet gets ahead of what I can do and what is really honest reality. But it doesn't hurt to ask questions such as the one you did, at least in my mind, because you learn something new and that opens (or closes) another option in the huge world of modding. And besides, if the silly high hp stock VW motor is the way you really want to go, over time you'll learn what you need to to make it happen.

The reason why we are here is to help others (and get some help once in a
while) through the experiences of our own not to tell someone what they lack
personally. I think this message would of been perfect if it weren't for
the slam on Derrick's level of VW knowledge. We all started somewhere and I
find myself learning faster when I get in over my head a little!
