Blown shock?

So I'm driving home and all off a sudden, the rear hatch is rattling lots 
over bumps, and the rear jumps out in the turns with bumps.  In the driveway it 
the right rear bounces tons more.  I'm convinced it's a blown shock.  My 2 
questions are
1 - is it safe to drive for a few days until I  can replace it?
2 - the car is lowered 1.25 inches on H & R springs... any suguestions on 
what to replace with?
