Rim issues

Yesterday I swapped the 13" 7-spokes from my car with the 14" GTI Snowflakes 
that were on my wifes car. The first "obvious" thing I noticed was when 
turning left there is something knocking in the driver side rim. I'm going 
to check it out tonite but just wondered if anyone knew of clearance 
problems with this switch. Strangely, my 7 spokes are fine on the other car. 
BTW, mine is a stock 85 8v, wifes is an 86 8v.
