Oil and filters... [UPDATE]
That was me with the problem. The cause of it (which sounds very similiar to yours) was that the breather on the valve cover was clogged up with crap. Remove the valve cover, spray at least a can of brake cleaner on it. Then fill a bucket with hot soapy water (or some other degreaser) and vigorously swish the cover in it. Then let it soak for a couple of hours and repeat. By then you should have cleaned out the majority of the stuff. I've also been told to replace the PCV valve, but my problem was pretty much solved with cleaning the valve cover. Make sure to get a new valve cover gasket unless you have a rubber g60 one. Also, I replaced the oil pan gasket, though I don't think that was necessary and will replace the seals behind the filter (where the sender connects to the block). Just flushing the valve cover pretty much solved my problem, but I had a steady drip rather than a stream.

Mike,
I belive if you do a search on this Ron Pieper or another lister recently
had this happen to them. I believe it was a bad oil pump (
overpressurization )..

(BTW, if head gasket blows, then you get coolant/oil mixture, correct? This is straight oil, so no blown gasket. Phew!) So I started it back up and crawled underneath again. This time, there's a stream about a quarter inch thick pouring down. I grab the flashlight and move the hoses and there it is, streaming down from above the filter housing.

But, if you laid down under your car with your feet pointing straight out, I can tell you it's coming from the backside (faces oilpan), about a quarter of the way from the right (passenger side). Any ideas? I'm going to consult the Bentley after sending this, but would appreciate any and all educated guesses and non-guesses ("I know exactly what it is" type answers).
