I got the extension and got the bolt out fairly easily. Getting it in was really tricky, I was wishing I had found the wobble extensions. I did manage to get all the bolts back in and so far the pan hasn't fallen off and oil isn't gushing out the seams so that's a good sign. Thanks for the advice!
