speaking of shotpeening
Mark and a few others were asking specs on that bored out 2L engine. Well, I finally got them, now can someone tell me what it means in terms of performance?
Starting from the bottom it has a 92.8mm crankshaft, ARP rod bolts. The rods were shot peaned and balanced. For pistons I used JE Forged, 80 thousands over sized which is 2mm bigger than stock (81mm stock, 83mm JE). I also used HPC(High Performance Coatings)on the skirt of the pistons and the crown. The bottom end has around 18k on it and ran very strong. Compression ratio was also changed in the custom pistons from 10:1 to 10.5:1
