Hellow everyone.
 I bought a 85 8v Scirocco a couple of months ago and have poured over the
mailgroup archives and i have learned alot from all of you. Thank you!
My Scirocco wasn't running when i bought it(300 bucks) because the PO had
let it sit for 3 years in the hot central Texas sun after he bought a new
golf diesel.
The fuel system from front to back was clogged with gooey sludge and i had
to do alot of troubleshooting to fix all the little things that were wrong
because of neglect.
I have it running smoothly now and after a good clean up it looks real good
and other than the recent neglect i can tell that the po did take very good
care of it before the golf came along.  I am ready to get the car
registered and inspected except for one more problem. I had to pull the
fuse to the front wipers because once you turn them on they will not turn
off! Do you think it is a relay or something else?
