8v questions, what can I get from the yard?

Oh, I didn't realize you already had the engine... In that case, I
guess that would be your cheapest option! Do you know what size pistons
are in there? I don't remember coming across another RD that was bored
out to a full 2 litres! Is the stock RD crank in there, or a 1.7L? Why
are there forged pistons installed - is it set up for forced induction
with low compression?

The problem with the RD/HT intakes is that they "point" to the passenger
side. You could do what I did with my original RD swap (using the A2
intake manifold) and move the fuel injection crap to the passenger side,
but it's a lot easier to just find a Fox intake... (you have to modify
it a bit though - the cold start valve will hit the rain tray, so it has
to be moved to the other end - very easy to do...)
The Fox and A2 intake manifolds both have longer runners (better torque)
and a bigger throttle body "opening"... They're probably very similar
other than the cold start valve location and orientation...
Mark.
