[cabby] shifter /linkage had something come apart...

The shifter went through the floor, or it went loose in your hand.  For
problem #1 I suggest a new floor or shifter, Problem #2 make sure the
bracket that bolts to the floor didn't come loose, and make sure the
retaining bolt for the shifter to shift rod is still present.

  I was trying to put the car into reverse, and suddently the shifter
  pretty much fell to the floor.  It is now extremely hard to select any
  gears, but I have got it into reverse and 1st...
