Has this ever happened to you?

Yesterday, I was trying to replace the "door closed" switch in my cabby to install the alarm that's been sitting on the passenger floor for the last 8 months.  In the past, I had been smart enough to remember to use a pair of hemostats to keep the signal wire from falling into the A-pillar, but not this time. An hour later and a seemingly arthritic left hand I had to give up trying to look for it.

Nothing makes working on your car less fun than trying to work in spaces where your hands won't fit...

Does anyone know the physical path that wire takes? I have to lengthen it.
