Let all the bolts soak in liquid wrench/wd40/whatever for as long as
possible before attempting to break them loose. All of them.
Manifold-to-head, manifold-to-downpipe, and that crappy band clamp from
the downpipe to the rest of the exhaust (which by the way I'd recommend
replacing with a standard muffler clamp). Also soak the slip-on
transition between downpipe and the rest of the exhaust. If it's rusted
on it will require lots of twisting, cursing, beer, and possibly a torch
just to heat it up with.
