How to get the inner tie rod unscrewed?

Ok, so what i did before i posted is use adjustable
pliers (ie channel locks) and i couldnt get enough
torque to break the nut loose. it was also very akward
to turn (if i could just break the nut loose...).

 Will go find an adjustable wrench and see if i can
break the nut loose. 

Can anyone see if they have the dimensions (length)
the tie-rods should be on driver/passenger side?
