Turn Signal Project Status
Well okay then. Here's a few off the top of my head, I'll think of 15 more things 30sec after I hit send: Rear fill plate, fiberglass dash, fiberglass console, fiberglass (or something other than cardboard) rear deck lid, any reproduced aftermarket bodykit piece, reproduced wings, um, eh, that's a good list to start off with. I realize some or all of this stuff may be impossible, but you asked. :)

Ah, I see. Well people want the clears - and if the people are happy, I'm happy.........
Um, yeah well the issue of "profitable" and "breaking even" didn't stop me from making the turn signals (the likeliness of me recouping the money spent on making the molds is infinitesimal) -- so actually I would say it is my love for Sciroccos that would drive me to make more parts (as opposed to financial gain). That being said, tell me about all this "cool stuff".
And if my previous reason for sticking to mk1 Scirocco parts ruffled any feathers, a more practical reason would be that if I am going to lose money on something, I would at least like it to be benefiting my Scirocco as well (a '79). Perhaps that is a bit selfish of me to think that way, but my funds are limited. If I had all the money in the world, I would love to make all the parts for all Sciroccos........(and have Volkswagen start manufacturing them again as well)....

Clear turns just seem to look more slick on a dark colored car. They don't really stand out on light colored cars, IMO. As for parts replication, I dunno, there's a bunch of cool stuff I'd like to see, but none of it would really be profitable or even break even. Good luck with the turns, the best things come to those who wait!

About all those prototypes you have laying around..... ;)

Hmmmmm.........
While any Scirocco is better than no Scirocco, in my VERY opinionated but
still humble view, the Mk. 1 Scirocco (especially the '79) is the best car
ever and therefore would be the focus of any further effort in part
replication. : 0 : )
There are some local Mk. 2 owners who may convince me to get some parts
made, but for the most part I will be sticking with Mk. 1 Stuffs.
-- and I thought that clears were already available for the Mk. 2 anyway
-- and what is it exactly that everyone likes so much about the clear look??
I think the stock amber ones are perfect as is........IMVOBSHV
Speaking of which.....it isn't just the clears that will be available when
all is said and done. Amber ones have been made as well, and the new shop
was talking about doing them in other colors too.
