buying car in another state - hows it *supposed to* work
Brian has a point, I drove a car for months that I did not have a
title or registration for because I had an insurance card for it. My
insurance company is cool with such things, I can call up and get an
insurance card for any VIN I ask for and they just bill me.

Insure it first, your better off. And in the event you do get pulled
over it helps to prove you own it.
