As you already know, i have the exact same setup in my Rabbit.  I mean exact 
(even to the flywheel).

However, I've also noticed that the car isn't as fast as I thought that it 
would be.  I know that I was suppose to do some tuning on the weekend but that 
didn't transpire.

With respect your numbers, you must remember that the factory numbers are based 
at the crank...the dyno you ran was measured at the wheels.  So I would say 
that you're dyno numbers are an improvement BUT not a significant improvement.  
I've been trying to think about how to improve them BUT I've gots a coupla 
exhaust leaks right now that prevent me from doing anything further.

Maybe someone else can point us in the right direction....I hear that a 272 cam 
will work wonders in this sorta setup.
