non-ac belt
yea I have the a/c removed now in mine. I used a longer belt with a 8v
pulley. I brought the modded bracket to move it to the a/c position but I
just haven't had the time to do it yet. I'm planning on doing it Saturday
at work.

You are correct, if you move the alternator down to the A/C position the
stock pulley lines up. You will need a 38 inch belt to make this setup
work. If you leave it in the stock position you will need an extra
spacer and a pulley from an A2 8v alternator. To make this work you
need a 45 inch belt.

Derrick, don't go ripping the stock pulley off your alternator just yet
- when I used a modified stock bracket, I believe the factory (16V)
alternator pulley lined up perfectly. Can't remember 100% though.
