Tranny date code deciphering...

Forgot my link to tranny date codes - anyone got this? The code I'm after is 25051, which is from
an FF from my '81 Scirocco.
IIRC it's 25=day, 05=month (May), 1=year ('81).
Am I on the money?
FWIW the car has an 11/80 build date, so either the tranny is not factory or my memory of the date
codes is off.
