An update on the seat clip project.
1) No the seat clip for the front of the seat doesn't fit anything but 
Sciroccos from 1976 to 1981 (VW Part # 531 881 203A  NO MATTER WHAT 
SEATS YOU USE IF YOU HAVE A 76 - 81 SCIROCCO YOU NEED THIS CLIP).  Only 
those model years used the specific track system in the front.  
Sciroccos from 1982 + use a completely different clip (VW Part # 435 881 
203A). Hence the reason why VW dropped the part.
2) I had some bad info on how many were required.  You only need one 
clip per seat, I even verified this on my car.  There is no way to put 
two clips on.
3) I was looking at reproducing the rear clips also, but I can get them 
in bulk quantities for less from VW as the rear clips are used by just 
about every VW out there still today.

4) I will still sell all of them as a kit, but wil now consider putting  
enough in the kit to do both front seats.  That means each kit will 
contain 2 front guide clips, 2 rear outter rail clips and 2 inner rail 
clips (If you want to see pics of these items let me know and I can send 
you one).  That being the case a kit to fix both seats will run around 
$20 (this is an estimate...The more help I get with this the better I 
can make the price.)

I appreciate all the hits I have gotten on this already.  Continue to 
aske questions if you have them and please continue to spread the info 
around and let me know how many you could use.  If I can't break even on 
the mold charge of $1000 I can't do this.  This is a major discounted 
price on the mold too.  It should be costing me $2000 - $3000.  I will 
have plastic/nylon costs on top of this.  If we can come up with a 
minimum of 100 kits needed I can get this started.  I would assume there 
are at least 100 Mark 1 Scirocco's on the list!?

Thanks again for all the support with this project and hopefully over 
time Kristen and some of the other people working on reproducing Mark 1 
Scirocco parts will all be able to unite our efforts and get most 
everything we need for our cars that we can't get anymore!!
