does anybody actually replace thier dust shields?
Didn't exactly 'replace' them, but I did elect to put them back on (rather than saving .6 pounds by leaving them off) when I put new front wheel bearings on last weekend.
NOTE to those who will be doing their own front wheel bearings in the near future:
It is quite possible to install the front splash shield BACKWARDS. If you do not discover this until the hub is IN the wheel bearing housing, it will cost you an additional one hour, one trip to the parts store, and one twenty-dollar bill. :)
Sometimes I think those of you on the list who believe I am an absolute idiot may be partially correct........!
