trunk popper!

Yes Martin you have 2 options with your front doors. You can remove just
the locks by purchasing a pair of A2 Jetta or golf rear door handles. The
rear doors have the same handles with no locks. Now you have to swap the
lever inside as per the tech note (someone?), and they simply screw right
in. Then you use an alarm to activate a set of door lock actuators which
get mounted inside the door. This is how I do it because you don't need to
weld anything and it looks great with all black handles.

The second thing you can do is remove the handle all together. That way you
don't need a lock at all. In this case, the truck solenoid kit is the
answer. To pop the doors, however, I would recommend at a 30-50 pound
solenoid. These should be available at any car stereo shop. Then you wire
the solenoids to the alarm system so that you can open the doors from the
remote. It's also wise to install switches inside.
