Hi Chris;
I would suggest a good cam. I have about the same combo in my 79 my
engine is a 10 to 1 85 Audi 8V. Stock 84 gti fuel distributor plumbed to
the
Audi Air shrouded injectors, an even older ignition with points ( no vacuum
retard or advance, using mechanical advance only with a total of 32
degrees), good exhaust ( TT long down pipe and 2.5 inch exhaust ) and the
Audi throttle body. This car really lit up when I installed a 272 German
hydraulic cam and an adjustable cam pulley. Also I can't say enough about
how much a Quaife diff adds.
