Door Hinge Pins (Update)

Just got in from the garage and I tried the technique suggested by Marc
(MarcSciroccoQuebec) and it worked as explained.  Tried just a simple
propane torch but could not generate enough heat. I used my small MAPS gas
and Oxygen torch and got the pin glowing. Two quick hits from above to
loosen, then a drift to drive the pin from below. No worries. I will be off
to VW tomorrow to get the replacement hinges. Thanks everyone.
