Brake question, no tassles.
Cathy, the o-rings aren't available from VW as separate parts. having
said that, if you can match up a replacement part (which will be
challenging from the ring that has split, because it will also likely be
stretched) you should be able to replace them. Many auto parts stores
sell o-ring kits that include common metric/imperial o-ring sizes, or they
may sell individual rings.
I have a similar problem - one of my pressure regulators has been seeping
brake fluid for some time - just enough to make the regulator damp, but
not enough that the level of brake fluid has gone done significantly. I
hope to replace the offending regulator with a spare before the spring
season starts.
