New Exhaust System Advice

they have stuff like this on race cars, and i they're made for some apps; 
never seen it for a dub tho.  there's a venturi restrictor before the cat 
(or no cat i guess), and then the exhaust opens up. the restrictor is 
designed to maximize the egv, and apparently produced big gains when done 
right. i just read about this a month or two ago in a race mag, don't 
remember which...
