How do I reinstall Mk 1 windshield trim?

Anyone ever done this before?

The morons that replaced my windshield not only re-used the
old seal, but did not reinstall the metal trim strip that
goes in the seal.  I was not around at the time, otherwise
I would have had them do it.  However, it's now up to me.

So, any help?  Volunteers?  I've still got about zero
patience for this stupid car.
