VWs in Iraq

While watching the crisis in Iraq unfold, I've noticed
from the film clips coming out of Baghdad that there
are a lot of VWs over there, some pretty battered
looking. I've not seen any Sciroccos yet. Did they
ever send any of those to Iraq?
