hard gas pedal

Brett, since you will be working in the area anyway it is a perfect time
to replace the accelerator pedal bushing.  It is around $2 at the
dealer.

the gas pedal on my '87 rocco is getting really hard to push. i'm
guessing 
it's got something to do with the throttle cable. do throttle cables
start 
to bind with age? is there a way to "lube" them or do i just need to
replace 
it? the linkage on the tb seems to move fine, so i'm pretty sure it's
the 
cable.
