how to tell if it's a euro cam?

Measure them:  from bottom of base circle to tip of lobe on euro cam measures ~1.870", on NA cam
it's ~1.845".  Dimensions are from an old scrap of paper that I had scribbled on, so there's a
chance I misinterpreted.  Regardless, that dimension is larger on the euro cam.

If you don't have dial calipers, use a big adjustable wrench as a gauge.  Cheapass trick.
