Brief question about MK1 front bumpers

Hi Courtney;
    My 79 and 80 Sciroccos have black plastic? bumper covers which have some
kind of chrome or reflective tape about three quarters of an inch wide
running lengthwise in the middle of them ( could easily be removed). My 77
Scirocco has chrome sheet metal bumpers like on a Rabbit but with an inch
and a half wide rubber strip in the middle lengthwise with no bumper guards.
The rubber ends bolt back against the fenders but are shorter than the full
covers on the 79 or 80.
