Question for an engine code decoding whiz..

Hey there list,

As some of you might remember, my Scirocco is a diesel conversion. The 
problem is I don't know from what model or year the diesel engine came... the 
dealership I bought it from wasn't sure, and soon I am going to have to buy 
an oil filter, and of course more parts in the future. The engine code (very 
difficult to read amid the glow plug circuit and radiator hoses!) is ME 011 
442. From my extensive searches online, I have found that the ME code is a 
"1.6 NA" 4 cylinder diesel. Could someone please consult their parts book and 
fill me in on the rest?
