Diagnose: severe clunking
Well, there are only so many things to check. A bearing rarely makes a
clunking noise so you can rule that out, the rack mounts wouldn't cause a
clucking but weird steering, so the remaining possibilities exist: 1. Ball
joint 2. Strut bearing 3. Inner or outer tie rods 4. Either one of
the lower control arm bushings either gone or loose. All I can think of now
unless it is a loose strut camber bolt or loose caliper bolt. Let us know
what you find!!
