motor rebuild
Smoke out the tailpipe after extended idling means you have shot valve guide
seals. (and probably valve guides!) The high vacuum in the intake port while
idling pulls oil past the valve guide and it accumulates in the port till
you gas it and the extra air flow pulls the oil into the cylinder.
What are you doing racing on the street anyway?
