Finally got a Scirocco, now a couple questions

Well I finally got a scirocco. Got it out of Greensburg, Pa for $200.00.
It's a red 1987 16v with power windows and a sunroof. Now for the questions.
The differential is blown out of the transmission, but the guy I bought it
from has a 1984 GTI tranny he is giving me with the car. What kind of clutch
setup do I need for this? Would it be 8v or 16v or a mix? Also, if anyone
has a center console that is not hacked up for sale, I would be intersted in
that too. I'm sure I will have more Questions once I get it home, but these
for now would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
