patrick, quit being anti-world and jump on the current technology bandwagon,
man :)

no spyware/adware/viruses, not only that, this program is completely open
source, read the source code for yourself if you dont want to take my word
for it.

to answer some of your rant:
- by using bittorrent to download a file, the only people you are granting
permission to are the people that are downloading the same file that you
are. its a shared download of only what you are downloading.
- the people you are sharing the file with are your fellow listers (dont you
trust us???).
- you cannot get a reverse stream virus through bittorrent. it does not
execute any of the code downloaded. furthermore, it does an md5 checksum on
every 256k chunk of the file downloaded. if a virus somehow entered the
stream, and you received it, the bittorrent client would kill that block and
redownload it from someone else (since the checksum didnt match). also, this
is a video avi file, which is uncapable of executing code on the system,
since it is only data which is sent through a codec for display on the
screen. the worst it can do is look like a crappy movie, not delete files on
your hard drive.

over 30 people have downloaded this file in the past 18 hours. given that it
takes me 3-4 hours to send it to any given person, i'd say it does pretty
well.

there are 8 active seeds right now, meaning that you can grab the file at
(most likely) 8x my max send rate (since you get it from 8 people at once).

(note to self: insert subliminal "delete all files on hard drive" messages
in patricks video)
