removing motor mounts

I'll second what Al is saying. 6 ton minimum. I did it with a 4 ton and
broke it. Bought
a replacement(it was my father-in-laws) and decided to finish the job
before bringing the
new vice over and broke that one too. Never again,and luckily the tool
shop replaced it
free of charge. Another way that was suggested to me, and I have NOT tried
it yet but will,
is to heat up the bracket in your grill or oven and then it may slide right
in, or need very
little pressing. It will be a couple of months before I get to that point
with the'78, but will
let all know if that works.
