8v engine with a rubber valve cover gasket.  The head is clean (for me) and there is not a line of dirt/old oil dripping down.  The oil is just around the #1 plug.  I get a little grey smoke at full throttle launches.

  8v or 16v?  If it's an 8v it's probably your valve cover gasket leaking(recommend replacing with a rubber one).    If you don't have black/grey smoke coming out the tailpipe, you're not burning oil btw.
