year)
HUGE THANK YOU goes out to:
Daun, for mowing that huge lawn among other hundreds of preps to make this
whole thing happen.
Dauns folks, i still dont understand how you can be so happy while your
house gets invaded by so many people, but i thank you regardless.
Dauns stubborn cat, for the matrix kung-fu action in the living room on
sunday.
Ron (and family), for the thurs-saturday stay at casa-de-cheapass.
Ray Miller, for bringing that beautiful mk1 of yours.
Jan, for bringing that beautiful mk2 of yours.
Scott Williams, for (finally) bringing that mk1, even if it wasnt running.
Jim Jarrett, for *finally* showing up "in uniform".
Jason Camissa, for the jump start of my camera battery, and for being an
integral part of the 'vids on the garage door' thing.
Eric S, for showing me the prototype of the bar that will eventually save
the riegers front cross member. Sweet design man. I want one now, i dont
care if its tested or not.
Cathy Boyko, for the physics book with the twin in it (acceleration,
muahahaha).
"Spider" Ben Harder, for the fun at the junkyard on friday, and for risking
life and limb in the tower (vs. daun in the plane).
Pete Lindvall, for not clubing me over the head (me being the hundreth
person to ask "dude, whats up with the tranny???").
Daun, for scaring the &%*@ out of Ben. (dont worry Ben, i had ya covered
(/machine gun noises)).
Ron (again), for the kick-ass cheapass tranny teardown, using no $$ special
tools.
Brian Wagner, for hooking me up with the tranny teardown vid.
Ron (again), for being tossed around the rieger as co-pilot during the
sunday road-rally.
Anson (and Shelly), for the stay on sunday. it was much easier starting the
drive early monday vs. late sunday.
Anson (again), for pressuring me into having some serious fun with the
rieger (parking lot). well, until that cop showed up at least :).
All listers who attended, for making this a great gathering as usual. I have
a hard time explaining just how nice this gathering really is. Everyone
always thinks its strictly a 'swap meet' or a 'club', but this goes way
beyond that. I mean think about it. Dauns 16v was in the garage, and random
people were just jumping in, throwing on parts here and there. Try and see
that happen at some old corvette meet, where a bunch of old fogeys are
stingy with their thousand-dollar trannies.
Any others i have missed.
Now to wait for next year!!!
