Mock Faceplate for CD Deck?

Did they look like stereos? I may just make my own. I don't know, I might
just order one of those triple guage plates go and grab some guages from the
yard and glue the faces on the plate and then make it so it hooks in
somehow. Most of all I don't want something that looks like a stereo or
even looks like I'm trying to hide a stereo. I want to make something that
actually looks like I'm a nut who just wanted more guages and didn't care
about the stereo system.
I could also try to make a mockup that makes it look like there are just
wires hanging out kinda like the stereo already got ripped off. :o) The
only trick there would be is to make it look like it has some depth and not
just wires hanging out of a mock faceplate...
Overall, the tripple guage plate sounds the easiest to make look real.
PS. sorry for emailing your account, i forgot to change the address to the
list
